Lisa Balfour has lived in Calgary her entire life and has been a member of The Calgary Centre For Positive Living since June 1991. She has been taking classes since 1992. She completed her ministerial class in June 1998 and has been part of the practitioner group at The Calgary Centre For Positive Living since July 1998. She has been licensed since November 1999.
Lisa has been of service to her Science Of Mind Community in a variety of service areas since 1993 and completed the practitioner course in 1996.. She has been guided into wanting to be of service to others since she was 14 in 1979. Her formal and spiritual education has continually lead her to serve people. Lisa is now a member at the YANA You Are Not Alone Centre for Spiritual Living. She continues to explore different avenues to the community of the world. Her continued desire to facilitate others to their true expression of wholeness has lead her over the last number of years to the trucking industry . Through Lisa’s continued growth, she has developed a desire to be of service to the trucking community with her practitioner work in spiritual mind treatment. Lisa is available to be of service to the trucking industry and anyone in need of Spiritual help through life’s challenges.
A Spiritual Mind Treatment is the art, the act and the science of consciously inducing thought within ourselves, for the purpose of demonstrating that we are surrounded by a Creative Medium which responds to us through a law of correspondence. In its more simple meaning, treatment is the time and method necessary for the changing of our thought processes to one of positivity. Licensed practitioners are professionals in their field. They are specifically trained to help others by means of Spiritual Mind Treatment as taught in the Science of Mind I, II and III classes and have also completed one year of Practicum. The licensing body, International Centers for Spiritual Living, requires Practitioner Interns to submit, along with their Pastor's recommendation, affidavits from clients as proof of their ability to successfully perform treatments. Licenses are issued and renewed yearly. One might use the services of a licensed practitioner when one is emotionally entangled or too close to a problem to consciously know the Spiritual Truth about oneself. The work of a Licensed Practitioner is not to counsel or give advice, it is to practice Spiritual Mind Treatment on behalf of others. The service of a Practitioner is confidential, maintaining the privacy and trust of their clients. These services are of a professional nature and as such standard ICSL fees apply. Regardless of financial conditions no one will be refused treatment. There are standardized fees for services as set by the ICSL governing body. The fees are $35.00 per session. Payments may be made via mail or paypal.

Lisa ii a native Calgarian born and raised in Calgary. She has lived in Calgary all her life. She graduated from Mount Royal College in 1987 with an Arts and Science diploma concentrating on Sociology, Psychology and Social Work. She graduated the University of Calgary with a BA majoring in Sociology and Psychology with a Criminology Concentration.
Spirituality has been a central part of Lisa’s life and in 1991 she joined The Calgary Centre For Positive Living now known as The Calgary Centre For Spiritual Living. She took her initial classes from Science Of Mind One in 1992 - Science Of Mind Four in 1998. She continues to take classes and deepen her own practice.

WHAT IT IS
Religious Science, also known as Science of Mind, is something intelligent to think about, and something satisfying to believe in, as well as practical to use. Regardless of race, religious affiliation, education, or social status one may find in it the ways and means to a fuller, richer life.
Religious Science presents a message of help and inspiration, for its practice and use extends into every form of human experience. Health, financial abundance, harmonious relationships, success, creative activity, and all the other things that make for the good life become accessible. One no longer feels like a hopeless human being, as he is master of his destiny, and proves to himself that it is done unto him as he believes.
Religious Science was founded in 1926 by Dr. Ernest Holmes, an internationally recognized teacher of Truth. His works, based on the teachings of great philosophers and mystics, combine the sacred wisdom of both Eastern and Western traditions. His teachings emphasizes the limitless potential of the human mind when a connection is made with the power within, whether it is called God, Spirit, Higher Power or whatever.
We have no opposition to any religious belief or philosophy. We recognize that each person is on an individual path to his/her own fulfillment and must be guided by his/her own inner voice. We teach practical and definite methods with which each individual can create positive life changes. We teach Scientific Prayer, the same method as Jesus utilized; prayer and meditation combined can heal the discords in our lives and bring us to a greater trust in God.
We teach that spiritual understanding leads to an opportunity to experience greater love, greater joy and a fuller life expression.

We believe in God, the living Spirit Almighty one, indestructible, absolute and self - existent Cause. This One manifests Itself and through all creation, but it is not absorbed by It’s creation. The manifest universe is the body of God; it is logical and necessary outcome of the infinite self - knowingness of God.
We believe in the individualization's of the Spirit is Us, and that all people are individualization's of the One Spirit.
We believe in the eternality, the immortality, and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding.
We believe that heaven is within us, and that we experience it to the degree that we become conscious of it.
We believe the ultimate goal of life to be complete freedom from all discord of every nature, and that this goal is sure to be attained by all.
We believe in the unity of all life, and that the highest God and the innermost God is one God. We believe that God is personal to all who feel the indwelling presence.
We believe in the direct revelation of truth through our intuitive and spiritual nature, and that anyone may become a revealer of truth who lives in close contact with the indwelling God
We believe that the Universal Spirit, which God is, operates through Universal Mind, which is the Law of God; and that we are surrounded by the Creative Mind which receives the direct impress of our thought and acts upon it.
We believe in the healing of the sick through the power of this Mind.
We believe in the control of conditions through the power of the Mind.
We believe in the eternal Goodness, the eternal Loving - kindness, and the eternal Givingness of Life to all.
